Most Chiropractors treat people who have been injured in accidents of all types. On the job injuries and injuries from auto accidents are not the exception. In fact, I believe everyone who's had a exceleration deceleration type injury should see a chiropractor. If you go to see your family doctor and he finds musculoskeletal problems and he doesn't refer you to a Chiropractor He/or She aren't looking out for you or your loved ones best interest. Chiropractors are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of these types of problems and are the best qualified to treat them.

It's very disturbing to us at Serrins Chiropractic that most of the over 5,000 patients we've treated over the last 14 years didn't know that if they list with their Employer their choice for a Doctor, if they are injured on the job, that their Doctor becomes the PRIMARY DOCTOR for them. Not only can you list your family M.D. but you can list your CHIROPRACTOR as well. By doing this now, you gain control of which doctors will be making the decisions on your care right from the beginning of your injury. It's now legal for the employer to have control on your care from a minimum of 30 days to a maximum of 180 days before you can select your own doctor.

This is very important for many reasons, the most important one for you is that your family doctor, whether an MD or a DC, is going to have YOUR BEST INTEREST AT HEART and well be looking after your best welfare.

Don't let people who are only interested in money make your health care decisions! You will usually lose, and that's not fair to you or to your family!!!!!

Another important thing you should know is that in 1989 then Governor George Deukmejian signed a law that made it ILLEGAL for an insurance company to raise your rates if you've been in an accident and it's NOT YOUR FAULT. If they do raise them report them to the state insurance commissioner, they will be more than happy to help you and go after the insurance company.
